Navy douses fire erupted on a trawler in Galle harbour
April 10, 2020Navy’s Firefighters of the Southern Command doused an abrupt fire on a multi-day fishing trawler in Galle Harbour yesterday (8).
Navy had deployed two water bowsers to douse fire in a joint operation with the Fire Brigade, Galle. Since firefighters could effectively contain the blowout, adjacent vessels were safeguarded unharmed.
Investigations are being conducted by the Harbour Police and cause of fire is yet to be confirmed by the authorities.
