Navy ship ‘Samudura’ brings stranded fishing boats
May 24, 2020Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) Ship Samudura, which is now operating to rescue cyclone hit fishing trawlers, is still on its return journey, while accompanying all the stranded fishing trawlers, those had washed away to deep sea, following to the hard hit of cyclone ‘Amphan’.
SLN Ship had fuelled the fishing boats while enabling them to sail back to the country along with the SLN Ship Samudura and now on its way towards the island.
SLN says, Sadewmi 04, Sanu Putha 01, Madhusanka 01, Sayuri 06, Ran Putha 09 and Sapna 08, were the trawlers fuelled to facilitate their return journeys, those had been out at sea for more than 30 days.
