Drug peddler nabbed with ice produced before PPD magistrate court
July 03, 2020A drug peddler, nabbed with nearly two kilograms of ice (crystal methamphetamine), was to be produced before the Point Pedro (PPD) magistrate court for legal proceedings, yesterday (02), the Police said.
The 66-year-old suspect, a resident of Valvettithurai, was arrested during a special raid carried out following a tip-off at the PPD town, Jaffna by the Police Special Task Force while he was transporting the cache of drugs in a van.
PPD Police is conducting further investigations.
