Suspect arrested with over Rs. 31 m and USD 140,000 plus heroin
August 01, 2020The Police have arrested a suspect along with a large sum of money and heroin from a house at Dematagoda.
He was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off received to the Police officers on duty at the roadblock of Colombo North Divisional area last night (July 31).
A total of Rs. 31.3 million, USD 1,40,000 and four grams of heroin have been recovered from the house, the Police said.
The 55-year-old suspect, a resident of Dematagoda, was produced to Harbour Police, Colombo.
The Harbour Police are conducting further investigations.
