Police foils antiquities theft attempt in Hali-Ela
August 12, 2020Hali-Ela Police nabbed five persons following an attempt to exhume antiquities in Uduwara, Hali-Ela area, following a tip-off last evening (11).
The defendants residents of Demodara and Baddegama, age between 34 to 53, nabbed with few offerings of antique value and excavation equipment, will be produced before the Badulla Magistrate Court for prosecution today (12).
Hali-Ela Police is conducting further investigations.
