SLN and Police nabbed illegal narcotics
November 19, 2020The Sri Lanka Navy’s (SLN) North Central Naval Command coordinated with the Mannar Police nabbed 03 suspects with 49 grams and 490 milligrams of Crystal Methamphetamine and 02 grams and 440 milligrams of heroin during a combined operation conducted at Karisal, Mannar yesterday (Nov 18).
Further, on 16 Nov, SLN recovered about 01 kilo and 941 grams of Kerala cannabis in 02 plastic bottles in Erukkulampiddi.
The SLN, Eastern Naval Command Trincomalee and STF Sardhapura collared two culprits with 500 grams of Kerala Cannabis on 10 Nov. Meantime, one suspect was arrested with 100 grams of Kerala cannabis on 14 Nov, SLN said.
The suspects were handed over to the respective legal authorities for onward actions, the SLN also said.
