November 30, 2020The Cyclonic Storm “NIVAR” over southwest Bay of Bengal was intensified into a severe Cyclonic Storm and located near (10.1N, 82.1E) on Nov 24, 230 km to the east of Kankasanthurai coast.
Subsequently, it passed the Northern coast of Sri Lanka and crossed Tamil-Nadu coast, India, which created heavy rains, strong winds, and rough sea conditions, especially in the coastal areas.
