Responding to a request by the Port Control Centre, the Sri Lanka Navy rushed one of its Fast Attack Craft (FAC) to bring ashore an injured seaman onboard an oil tanker, last morning (26th August). The said seaman had sustained injuries while working onboard the tanker, states Navy media.

The Navy’s FAC had reached the oil tanker 12.5 nautical miles off the Colombo Light House and had safely transferred the patient before rushing ashore. Upon reaching the Colombo harbor the patient was promptly dispatched to the National Hospital in Colombo for treatment.
