Russia - Sri Lanka Bilateral Military Cooperation meeting held
October 02, 2019A meeting on Russia - Sri Lanka Bilateral Military Cooperation was held at the Ministry auditorium, on Tuesday (01 October 2019). The local delegation was led by Additional Secretary (Defence) Mr. Anuradha Wijekoon while the Russian delegation was led by the head of the 5th Department of the Main Directorate of Foreign Military Cooperation, Russian Ministry of Defence, Colonel Maksim Penkin.
A range of bilateral military issues including training, military exchange & assistance and visits for the upcoming year were taken up for discussion during the meeting.
Military Liaison Officer, Brigadier TJ Kodithuwakku and senior Tri Forces officers were also present at the meeting.
