The tragedy of Muttur- the Gory of Racism
The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has again
made mother Lanka weep for her beloved children. A crime blended with
terrorism and racism has been committed again by the LTTE terrorists in
the eastern region of the country. All peace loving citizen of the
country are deeply shocked and anguished over the large number of deaths
of their fellow brethren in the East.
16 years ago the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam
(LTTE) the so called "Saviors" of the Tamil community in the
world, butchered 103 innocent Muslims whilst they were praying in the
grand Mosque of Kattankudiy in Batticaloa, on the 3rd of August 1990.
It is ironic that exactly after 16 years the same group of people today hiding
behind the veil of "human rights" showed the extent to which they have now been
civilized when they perpetrated yet another heinous crime on the 3rd
of August 2006.
This time they showed the world community their true
spirit and nature; that they are nothing but absolute barbarians and megalomaniacs;
and yet they brand themselves as "liberation fighters".
Today is another sad day in the history of the country
when the historical relationships that existed
over thousands of years between the Tamil and the Muslim communities
were blotched by a series of gory incidents. Today is thus one of those
"shameful days" in the annals of our history when three
schools in Muttur which have now been converted to refugee centers were bombarded
with heavy Artillery fire. The intention of the LTTE very clearly was to cause the maximum damage
to a hapless
innocent Muslim community who were gathered in large numbers at these
refugee centers.
Seventeen Muslim people made the supreme sacrifice to
satiate the blood thirst of a murderous group of "Liberators".
The defence.lk website deeply mourns the deaths of all
fellow brethren who died in the conflict. We sincerely hope the viewers
will bear with us on seeing the gory pictures of the mass human crime
committed by the blood thirsty LTTE cadres.
Terrorism whether kindled by religious fanaticism or
racism, the horror and agony it brings to the innocent has no
difference. It is time for all communities to forge head and create "A
NEW
SRI LANKA !"
