More essential food and medicine sent for civilians in no fire zone

The government dispatched another large consignment of food and medicine for the use of innocent Tamil civilians who were forcibly held by the LTTE terrorists in government declared no fire zone.

The stock of 1200 MT shipped under the directives given by the H.E.the President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The government deployed two large ships to  dispatch the essential items, sources said.

The stock included rice, flour, sugar, dhal, palm oil, milk food, and medicine sources added.

The civilians reached security forces seeking safety  recently said LTTE terrorists are looting the foods stock sent by the government and distributed only a few percent of the total quantity among the civilians in the no fire zone.
