Troops continue mop up operations; 72 LTTE bodies found - east of
Puthukkudiyirippu
Troops of 58 Division engaged in further mop up
operations yesterday, 6 April, following pitched battles that ensued in
general area Anandpuram, east of Puthukkudiyirippu killing over 500 LTTE
terrorists including senior LTTE rankers, have found more bodies of LTTE
terrorists killed during the battle.
Infantrymen of 9 Gemunu Watch (9GW) uncovered 46
bodies of LTTE terrorists killed in intense fighting along with a stock
of war materials. Following items are among the recoveries.
