The 55 Sri Lankans stranded in Aceh waters on Thursday (May 14) have claimed to be members of the internationally proscribed terrorist outfit LTTE, fleeing in fear of post-war trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity to seek political asylum in Australia.

According to Jakarta Globe, a local of the Alue Bilie village in Darul Makmur subdistrict, Nagan Raya district, on Friday(15), have confirmed that some of the 'refugees', have confessed that they were LTTE combatants.
