French Joint Forces Commander calls on Army Chief Commander of the French Joint Forces in Indian Ocean Region Vice Admiral Gerard Valin paid a courtesy call on Commander of the Army General Sarath Fonseka Monday (29) morning at his office in the Army Headquarters, Colombo. The Senior French Naval Commander, accompanied by French Ambassador Mr. Michel Lummaux during his meeting with General Sarath Fonseka exchanged views with regard to security and matters of bilateral interest. Army Commander gave a detailed account on the recently concluded Wanni humanitarian operations that brought total defeat to LTTE terrorism. The visiting Vice Admiral Gerard Valin and General Sarath Fonseka exchanged mementoes to mark their meeting.
