MoD SVU handover newly constructed house for a war hero The defence ministry's Seva Vanitha Unit which has launched projects for the war heroes marked the conclusion of its another housing project yesterday 2 September. The newly constructed house for a disabled war hero, Lance Corporal R. M. A. Hemantha of 5th field Engineers Regiment, who sacrificed his limbs while serving in the battle front in Mullaitievu to defend the mother land, was handed over by the chairperson of SVU Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa. The house is located at Kanaru area in Monaragala district. The president of Ports and Aviation SVU Mrs. Chandra Rajapaksa, Vice chairperson of MoD SVU Mrs. Indu Rathnayaka, were also present at this charm function.
