Kilinochchi resettlement begins Under the accelerated resettlement program the government has taken measures to resettle the civilians in Jaffna, Mannar, Baticaloa and Kilinochchi districts. The inaugural ceremony of the Kilinochchi District resettlement took place under the patronage of chief of "Uturu Wasanthaya" Task Force and Senior Presidential Advisor Parliamentarian Basil Rajapaksa. Kilinochchi town, one time LTTE's main administrative town, and its infrastructure facilities were completely destroyed by the LTTE terrorists when troops liberated the area in the final phase of the battle against terrorists.
