Defence Ministry's SVU distributes 20 sewing machines among war hero
families
Defence Ministry's Seva Vanitha Unit distributed 20
sewing machines donated by Pakistan High Commission, among the families
of war heroes who made there utmost sacrifices for defending the
motherland.
The function was held at the Defence Ministry Premises
this morning (Oct. 29 ) under the patronage of secretary HE Pakisthani
ambassador of Sri Lanka Shaheen A Gilani and Secretary Defence
Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
During this same event secretary defence handed over
the keys of 3 three-wheelers to the disable War heroes. Defence Ministry
Seva Vanitha Unit has purchased these 3 Three-Wheelers to fulfill this
donation .
These donation were made as per the requirements
identified during the discussions held with secretary defence during
past few month covering most of the districts in Sri Lanka and official
of the Seva Vanitha unit said speaking to defence.lk

Unit Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa, Major General Palitha Fernando, vice president
of Defence Ministry's seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Indu Rathnayaka and defence
ministry's official also participated at the event
