No more road closure for VIP movements The Government yesterday, 26 November, decided not to close roads in the Colombo city during VIP movements. According to Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara, the Government arrived at this decision after having close evaluation of the country's security situation. He said the stretch of the Galle road from Kollupitiya to Galle Face Green is now open to the public and one side of the road opposite Temple Trees was also open for vehicle movements. The road leading to the Galadari Hotel roundabout from the Lake House roundabout was also opened from yesterday, he added.
