Troops recover more military items

Sri Lanka Army Troops engaging the clearing and search operation in liberated areas yesterday (7th March) also recovered some warlike items hidden by the LTTE terrorists in the final phase of the war.

Troops of 61 Division recovered 48 AP mines, 2 RPG bombs, one 60mm mortar bomb, one 81mm mortar bomb and one H/G during their search operations in general area Madhu roads.

Meanwhile Troops operating in general area Palanpiddi recovered 17 AP mines, one 60mm mortar bomb and 160 7.62 x 39mm Ammo. Troops 561 and 563 Brigades doing their search operations in general area NDK North and general area Puliyankulam found one RPG bomb and one hand grenade (type 82.2)

In Naddanlandal area troops recovered one hand grenade and the troops of 112 Brigade recovered another hand grenade in Kiridiwela police area yesterday.
