Malaysian Business Organizations pledge support for war heroes
Number of local and international Organizations as
well as donors pledged their fullest support to develop the northern and
eastern provinces after security forces liberated the island from the
clutches of LTTE terrorists.
Accordingly, group of Malaysian ladies on business
tour in Sri Lanka met chairperson of Defence Ministry's Seva Vanith Unit
(SVU) Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa at the defence ministry premises last
afternoon, 10 June.
The group of Malaysian Business ladies, members of
Penagawathee Business Organization in Kuala Lumpur, following a
discussion with SVU chairperson agreed to make their contribution for
constructing houses for war heroes. Managing Director of the
Penagawathee Business Organization Mrs Dato Hazeema Sanuddeen expressed
the objectives of the organization while Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa explained
the welfare projects carried out by the SVU for the betterment of the
war heroes who made highest contribution for the country.
Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mrs
Indu Rathnayake also participated at the occasion.
