Army constructs three storied school building in Vavuniya
The Army constructed three-storied building complex at
Bogaswewa Vidyalaya in Vavuniya was declared open
on Thursday (6th April 2017).
According to Army media sources, the project was
completed with technical know-how and expertise of the troops of 2 Corps
of Engineering Service (CES) under Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W).
Financially assisted to the value of Rs 24.8 m was provided by the
Department of Education towards the construction.
During the opening ceremony the new shrine of the
school was also declared open and a stock of schooling needs including
stationeries were presented to the children. The construction of the
shrine and the schooling necessities had been sponsored by private
Senior army officers, state officials, Principal,
teachers, students and a large gathering of local residents were present
at the opening ceremony.
