Army provides water to drought affected families in Jaffna

Sri Lanka Army troops in Kopay under the Security Force Headquarters- Jaffna (SFHQ-J) commenced a project to provide drinking water to people affected by water shortages due to the dry weather experienced in the peninsula.

Army troops had began to provide water to the people by filling water to plastic tanks placed in roadsides and also to other containers brought by the people. The program which began on Monday (23) has benefitted more than 1100 families in the region.
