Educational assistance to needy students

organized yet another community
welfare project under the Civil
Military Coordination (CIMIC)
programme, to donate school
items for needy students in the
Wanni region recently (29th
Thursday, November 2018).
According to Army Media, the programme was held at
Veheratenna Roshan Mahanama Vidyalaya and total of around 60 students
received school bags and stationery items which were sponsored by well-wishers
upon the request made by the SFHQ Wanni.
In parallel to that, Sri Lanka Army troops under the
Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) facilitated the distribution
of the donation of a stock of school accessories to needy children in the Hambantota District recently (30th Friday, November 2018).
The ceremony was held at Bandagiriya Maha Vidyalaya
and over 3000 students from low income group families in nine different schools in Hambantota area were
benefited by this programme. The donation was made by 'Hope Scope
Foundation' in response to a request made by 122 Brigade.
Senior military officers, officials of the 'Hope Scope
Foundation', school teachers and students participated at the event.
