French Naval ship in Colombo

Making a four-day official goodwill visit, the French Naval Ship 'Auvergne' arrived in the country on Sunday (03rd December). According to Navy media, the visiting French ship was accorded a traditional Naval welcome upon its arrival at the Port of Colombo.

The 142m long and 20m wide ship has a displacement of 600 tons and carries a crew of 142 naval personnel. The crew of 'Auvergne' is scheduled to take part in a number of programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy before the ship's departure on Wednesday (06th December).
