Mawadaipuram masses provided with free medical services
Sri Lanka Navy
troops in the North have yet
again conducted a medical clinic
for the people in the Peninsula.
This time, a public medical
clinic was held at Mawadipurum
in Kankesanturai on Sunday
(06th May). The free medical
clinic was conducted under
Navy's Corporate Social
Responsibility project, by the
Northern Naval Command at the
Mawadipurum model village.
Medical professionals and staff of the Naval Command
attended to about 280 people who had showed up at the field medical
clinic seeking treatment for various ailments.
The patients were provided with proper diagnosis of
chronic non-communicable diseases and other illnesses and were also provided
treatment for chronic/acute diseases at primary health care level. Field
laboratory investigations were also provided free of charge.
In addition, the patients were provided with required
medicinal drugs gratis, with support from the State Pharmaceutical
Cooperation and Triposha Lanka Ltd.
