Medical assistance for Northern people
Sri Lanka Navy
conducted a field medical clinic
in Kankesanthurai in the
Northern Peninsula on Sunday
(04th March). The medical clinic
was conducted by the Northern
Naval Command for the benefit of
the people in the newly
resettled model village of
Mawadipuram in Kankesanthurai.
A large number of people in the locality attended the
medical clinic held as a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility
Projects (CSR) of the Navy.
Medical screening for chronic non communicable
diseases, child health problems, oral/dental diseases, old age health
problems, antenatal care, acute/chronic health diseases and women health
were conducted during the clinic. Drugs and nutritional supplements for
the patients were sponsored by the State Pharmaceutical Cooperation and
Thriposha Lanka Ltd.
