MoD SVU donates Ultrasound Scanner to National Cancer Hospital

The Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence (MoD SVU) donated an Ultrasound Scanner to the National Cancer Hospital in Maharagama today (16th Thursday, July 2015).

The donation of the Ultrasound Scanner by the SVU fulfilled a long felt need of the Cancer Hospital and will be a boon to the large number of patients at the hospital's children's unit. The movable scanner will provide a great support to examine patients who are unable to move.

Chairperson of the MoD SVU Mrs. S Basnayake, Director of the National Cancer Hospital Maharagama, Dr G Wijesooriya, Vice President of the MoD SVU Mrs Indu Rathnayake, members of the hospital staff and MoD SVU were present at the occasion.
