"Ranaviru Real Star" Mission III
Mission III of 'Ranaviru Real Star' (RRS) reality TV
programme to be geared up.
One of the most watched reality shows,
the 'Ranaviru Real Star' (Mission III) in Sri Lanka
highlighting the innate vocal talents of the armed
forces personnel will hit the airwaves live on Sri Lanka
Rupavahini today (03rd November). Members of Army, Navy
and Air Force including officers and other rank are
expected to take part in the competition. Service
personnel who have joined the service three years before
the end of the humanitarian operation in May 2009 are
legible to compete RRS Mission III. The grand finale of
the RRS III mission has planned to be held in the mid of
June next year.
The first episode of the RRS mission
III will be telecasted live on Sri Lanka Rupavahini TV
channel from 0900 pm onwards. The winners and the
finalists of RRS II will also be making their appearance
on stage.
The winners of Ranaviru Real Star
Mission II were lavishly presented with gifts worth
millions of rupees including a brand new two storied
modern house worth over Rs 17 Million for the first
placed and the runner up received a car worth
Rupees 2 Million. The third place winner received a cash
prize of Rupees one Million. The fourth and fifth placed
went away with Rupees Five Hundred Thousand each. The
winners of the RRS III would be walking away with more
valuable gifts in addition to the fame and glory that
comes with their new found stardom.
The worlds' first reality show for
members off the military is a brainchild of Secretary
Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The popularity of the programme was evident by the
number of SMSs received in support of the contestants
during the course of the programme. The valuable support
of Dialog Axiata Company was a vital factor in the
success of the programme. |
