Secretary, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa declared open the relocated new office of the Bank of Ceylon (BoC) High Grade Branch in Torrington square today (14th October).

The former Torrington BoC branch was located bordering to the former Auditor General's Building since 1975 and now it has been shifted to a refurbished building inside the Auditor General's Department premises. This was initiated under the multi-faceted Metro Colombo Urban Development Project plans which mooted to develop the commercial capital and its suburbs into a model green, clean people friendly city.

Speaking at the event, General Manager of the branch Mr. D. M. Gunasekara paid his sincere gratitude to Mr. Rajapaksa for allocation of the new office block. He also thanked the Sri Lanka Navy for the immense support extended to conclude the construction work soon.

Bank officials, senior military officers and a large number of BoC customers were present at the event.
