Secretary declares open Air Force Tattoo

Kapila Waidyaratne PC declared
open the Anniversary Air Tattoo
of the Sri Lanka Air Force on
Saturday (03rd March). The
Tattoo is being held in view of
the 67th Anniversary of the Sri
Lanka Air Force at the Air Force
Station in Ampara from 03rd to
Arriving at the venue the Secretary was received by
the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy. After
declare opening the three-day event the Secretary visited the various
exhibits and other attractions at the Tattoo.
The Air Tattoo will showcase the SLAF's military
proficiency, capabilities and multipurpose air assets in its inventory.
It will also feature a fly past, aero and parachute
displays, performance by Regimental Special Forces, cultural, band and
drill displays and many other attractions. It will be open for the
public from 2.00 pm to 11.00pm and entrance will be free of charge.
Senior SLAF Officers and a large number of Air Force
personnel were also present at the opening ceremony.
