Soldiers educated on Chronic Kidney Disease

A medical clinic and an awareness programme on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) were held for the benefit of troops serving in the 62 Division. The programme was held to coincide with the World Kidney Day on 09th March, at the Divisional Headquarters in Galkulama, states Army media sources.

The programme was conducted with the participation of medical officers of the Base Hospital in Padaviya and included a lecture and medical screening to identify kidney patients among soldiers. 250 Army personnel underwent medical examinations during the session.
