‘COVID – 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’ re-named as ‘Itukama COVID – 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’ - PMD
May 21, 2020The ‘COVID- 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’, established by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has renamed it as ‘Itukama – COVID 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’, said the President Media Division (PMD).
Defence Ministry launched the ‘Itukama’ media campaign with a view of raising funds for the President's ‘COVID-19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’ recently (May 13). Accordingly, the fund’ has now collected Rs. 1,128 million in a special account (85737373) maintained at the Bank of Ceylon Corporate Branch.
Donations are exempted from taxes and foreign exchange regulations and deposits can be made through cheques/telegraphic transfers.
