Army constructs house for needy family in Jaffna

Sri Lanka Army handed over a newly constructed house for a low-income family at Vaddukkoddai in Jaffna yesterday (May 20).

The house was handed over to Mohan Uththarajini by the Commander Security Forces, Jaffna, Maj. Gen. Ruwan Wanigasooriya

The construction work was financed by the Security Force Headquarters in Jaffna. Much needed manpower assistance was provided by the 11th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 5th Engineer Service Regiment under the supervision of Commander 513 Brigade.

Meanwhile, a tube-well completed with a donation by Thabotharan Vishwanadan was also handed over to the family during the occasion.

The Divisional Secretary at Walikamam West was also present at the event.
