Arrested Arms and Ammunitions
October 25, 2020The Sri Lanka (SL) Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and STF were on alert on illegal weapons and ammunition during the past week. Operations in search of illegal firearms were underway in keeping with the government's vision to curb underworld activities.
Accordingly, 48 locally manufactured weapons, 45 illegally smuggled weapons, 69 weapon accessories, 338 bombs and 926 rounds have been nabbed and a total of 45 persons were arrested.
