Arrested Arms and Ammunitions
March 08, 2021The Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and STF were on alert on illegal weapons and ammunition during the past week. Operations in search of illegal firearms were underway in keeping with the government's vision to curb underworld activities.
Accordingly, 13 locally manufactured weapons, 11 illegally smuggled weapons, 11 weapon accessories (detonators), 04 bombs and 682 rounds have been nabbed and arrested a total of 10 persons.
