SL Navy’s “Ranarisi” brings ashore sick fisherman
A fisherman who had fallen sick while at sea was brought ashore for treatment by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) last evening (15 May). According to SLN media, the fisherman on board the local multiday fishing trawler ‘Sindur 04’ was at sea off the eastern coast when he had suddenly fallen ill and was in need of medical attention.
SL Army troops to build new house for a widow in Jaffna
Foundation stone was laid to a new house for a widow in Jaffna recently. According Sri Lanka Army media, the 55 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), as a part of SL Army’s social service initiatives has taken measures to build a new house to a widow and her family at Uduththurei in Jaffna.
