SLN thwarts turmeric smuggling attempt via Mannar sea

Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) nabbed two persons with 818 kilos of dried turmeric packed in 17 gunny sacks along with a dingy boat while attempting to smuggle the stocks into the country via north of Mannar, yesterday (Sep 16).

STF nabs a haul of cannabis and turmeric from Pudukuduirippu
