External entities were not authorized to receive donation on Navy's behalf
May 22, 2020Denying the circulation of falsely fabricated demand for donations, Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) says, SLN is conducting a number of campaigns to control the spread of COVID-19 in the country while receiving a range of material and financial aid from various agencies and organizations for programmes.
SLN further says, it has been observed that the fake post fabricated with a request for donation to the navy being circulated through social media. Therefore, SLN strictly announces that no external party has been given any authority to receive any type of donation on behalf of the SLN and the general public are requested to refrain from providing any such donations to the disguised parties.
