Army organized Football Tournament provides fillip to ethnic harmony
An inter-league football tournament was organized by the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) recently. According to Army media, the 'Eastern Commander Champion's Trophy' football tournament was held at the Weber Stadium in Batticaloa on Sunday (31 March).

Over 769kg of cocaine destroyed under President's fight against dangerous drugs
The destruction of 769 kg of cocaine took place at a warehouse in Kelaniya, today (01 April 2019). The haul of cocaine worth over 10 billion rupees seized by law enforcement agencies on several occasions in the past was diluted before being transported to a cement factory in Puttalam where it will be incinerated through cement kiln co-processing.
Navy brings ashore critically ill fisherman
Sri Lanka Navy troops rendered assistance to bring ashore a critically ill fisherman on Sunday (31 March). According to Navy media, a Naval Fast Attack (FAC) Craft attached to the Southern Naval Command was sent to the location upon being alerted by the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

Troops in Kilinochchi assist public welfare programmes
