Maj.Gen. (Retd) Sumedha Perera new Co-Chairman of the TF on Poverty
March 28, 2020Maj.Gen.(Retd) Sumedha Perera has been appointed as the Co-Chairman of the Task Force (TF) for Poverty Eradication and Livelihood Development by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, today.
Maj.Gen. Perera will head the agriculture sector under the TF.
He, who was one of the pioneers of the Sri Lanka Army's (SLA) Air Mobile Brigade and commanded several infantry battalions, was the former Military Spokesman of the Defence Ministry and the SLA’s Director Media’. Maj. Gen. (Retd) Sumedha Perera once served as the Commander Security Forces, Wanni.
