Met Dept alerts on showers or thundershowers in several areas
The Meteorology Department’s weather report today (Oct 30) said showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces and in Hambantota, Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts after 2.00pm.
Awareness programme with facemasks for Welikanda citizens
The Army’s 231 Brigade troops distributed a stock of facemasks among civilians and community leaders in the Welikanda area recently while educating people on the importance of its use as a precautionary measure to contain COVID-19.
