A few foreign nationals and Sri Lankans, who completed 14-day quarantine process at the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) led Boosa Naval Base, have left for their homes.

Under the directives of SLN Chief Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva the four story building  at the Base was transformed into a quarantine centre to assist the Government’s coordinated mechanism to control the spreading of COVID-19.

Among the group, there was a Japanese and two French nationals. They have been issued quarantine certificates to confirm that they had undergone the quarantine process.

The certificates were handed over by the Commander Southern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul.

The SLN sources said another group of 64 Sri Lankans are now undergoing the process at the Naval Base.
