Jaffna troops distribute dry ration and clothes among needy
May 03, 2020Good Shepherd's Convent in Jaffna joined hands with the 511 Brigade, Atchuvely to distribute dry ration parcels on Friday (May 01) among needy families affected due to coronavirus pandemic.
With the coordination of Jaffna Security Force Commander Maj. Gen. Ruwan Wanigasooriya, sisters of Good Shepherd's Convent sponsored the relief packs that were handed over to beneficiary families in Savalkaddu area.
Meanwhile, troops of the 6th Sri Lanka Signal Corps of Gurunagar distributed a donation of clothes among deserving families residing in Gurunaggar and Sinnakadai areas to address the basic requirements of the pandemic-affected community in the Jaffna Peninsula.
