SLN recovers an unexploded artillery shell
May 03, 2020Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) recovered an unexploded artillery shell (155mm) in the shallow water area of Nachchikuda beach recently (May 1).
SLN coastal observation patrol deployed by the North Central Naval Command had spotted heavily corroded artillery shell. It is assumed that it had been used during the humanitarian operations by the LTTE. Kilinochchi Police is conducting further investigations into the recovery.
