NIC digit rule applicable only for curfew imposed areas
May 04, 2020The President’s Media Division (PMD) issuing a curfew notice yesterday (3) said, the last digit of National Identity Card (NIC) is reckoned only within the areas which curfew is still in-force, when moving out to attend essential requirements.
PMD also announced, the newly introduced NIC numerical system would not be applicable when curfew is lifted. However, inward and outward movements to areas which are declared as ‘locked’ is prohibited, the curfew notice says.
