Arrested Arms and Ammunitions
November 16, 2020The Sri Lanka (SL) Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and STF were on alert on illegal weapons and ammunition during the past week. Operations in search of illegal firearms were underway in keeping with the government's vision to curb underworld activities.
Accordingly, 22 locally manufactured weapons, 07 illegally smuggled weapons, 01 weapon accessory, 194 bombs and 933 rounds have been nabbed and arrested a total of 31 persons.
Compared to last week, underworld activities and the recovered illegal weapons and accessories are less.
