U21 and Senior South Asian Karate Championship 2022

The 6th Cadet, Junior, U21 and Senior South Asian Karate Championship 2022 was held at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on 27th and 28th November 2022, respectively. The championship was organized by the South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF) and hosted by the Sri Lanka Karate-do Federation, which is under the Ministry of Sports. More than 250 contestants from six(06) South Asian Countries competed in the tournament.
During the Team Kata event, SLAF Kata senior male performers, namely Corporal De Silva KN, Corporal Prasanna KS, Leading Aircraftman Faiz MS and Aircraftman Sandeepa WSI who represent Sri Lanka National Team, secured third place and won the 04 bronze medals. Pakistan team came out on top while India took home the silver medal.
