9th Edition of Ex- ‘Mitra Shakti-2023’ Ends in Pune, India

The 9th edition of the joint military Exercise ‘Mitra Shakti-2023’ formally concluded on Monday (28th November) in Aundh, Pune in India with the participation of troops from India and Sri Lanka.

Representing the Sri Lanka Army, Major General P.G.P.S Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding 53 Division graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Towards the end of the final exercise 'Aman Ranasuraya' was staged to showcase the techniques and tactics that were practiced and trained during the period.

The 9th Edition of the Joint Military Exercise ' Mitra Shakti-2023' formally commenced on 16 November, joined by 120 troops of the Indian Army, 123 troops of the Sri Lanka Army, 15 troops of the Indian Air Force and 05 troops from the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The Exercise ‘Mitra Shakti’ is an annual Joint Training Exercise spearheaded jointly by the Sri Lanka Army and the Indian Army since the year 2012. The Exercise was conducted with the participation of two Infantry Companies from both sides.
