SL Army troops assist children
February 07, 2024A social service initiative by Sri Lanka Army troops saw schooling essentials including shoes being provided to needy children recently. According to SL Army media, troops of 2 Sri Lanka National Guard (2 SLNG) organized a donation programme (Jan 20) at Kilinochchi Jayapuram Mixed School where 60 students of the school and 40 children of Non-Commissioned Officers/civil staff from the 55 Infantry Division were gifted pairs of shoes.
Meanwhile, troops of the 4 Sri Lanka National Guard (4 SLNG) gave away essential school accessories for needy children of Singithi Arunalu Preschool in Anuradhapura with the kind sponsorship of a philanthropist.
