DSCSC Marks World Environment Day 2025 with Symbolic Tree Planting

The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) commemorated World Environment Day 2025 with a symbolic tree planting ceremony held on 05 June 2025 at the college premises. The event was graced by Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College, as the Chief Guest.

The event aimed to raise awareness among staff about the importance of environmental conservation. Though modest in scale, the tree planting served as a meaningful reminder of the role each individual and institution plays in contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.

A few selected trees were planted during the event by the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Brigadier Coordinating and members of the staff of DSCSC, symbolizing the College’s commitment to environmental awareness. The initiative also served as an opportunity to encourage continued environmental efforts within the members of DSCSC throughout the year.
